The two main commercially manufactured variants of Botox are types A and B. Botox in Mexico, a leading destination for low-cost but high-quality plastic surgery, is administered through injections and primarily functions by weakening, immobilizing, or paralyzing the target muscles. Historically, Dr. Alan Scott first tapped the efficacy of Botox as a muscle relaxant for therapeutic purposes in the 1960s. The neurotoxin’s potential for cosmetic use was discovered in the 1980s by Dr. Jean Carruthers in the late 1980s.
